John L. Spreitzer Jr.

John L. Spreitzer Jr, 55, of Streator, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his home.
Born July 15, 1969 in Joliet, he was the son of John L. and Linda (Cooke) Spreitzer. He graduated from Minooka High School with the class of 1987. He lived most of his life in Minooka and Seneca. John was employed at Costco in Morris since 2017. He married Kathie Harrington on July 16, 2001 in Ottawa and they lived most of their married life in Seneca.
He is survived by three brothers, Joseph (Suzanne) Spreitzer of Marseilles, Richard Spreitzer of TN and David (Sandy) Spreitzer of TN; several nieces and one nephew.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his loving wife, Kathy in 2022.
He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears, liked fishing, camping and enjoyed classic Mustangs and dearly loved his dogs.
John was a good hearted person who would do anything for anyone.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris with Pastor Patrick Lohse officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
