JOSEPHINE VOTA

Age 92 of Coal City, passed away Monday morning January 16, 2006 at Morris Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born January 07, 1914, Josephine was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Bentka) Stehlik. Josephine was raised and educated in Coal City and on December 10, 1938 she married Frank Vota in Assumption Catholic Church. Together they lived their entire married life in the Coal City. Josephine worked at Hyman's Clothing Factory and she was a member of Assumption Altar and Rosary Society. Josephine was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include her daughter Celia (Jack) Schimandle; two grandchildren: Jacquie Schimandle and Aaron (Jen) Schimandle and one great grandson Cayden Schimandle, all of Coal City, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1962, one sister and numerous brothers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 18, 2006 between the hours of 5:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday January 19th at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Braidwood and burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jacquie Schimandle, Aaron Schimandle, Jake Carlin, Jason Scott, Larry Smith and Rob Kneiss. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kevin Scott and Kurt Kurtenbach.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Josephine's memory to her family for distribution to charities of their choice.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd., Coal City.
