JUANITA T. ARTHUR

Age 91 of Coal City, passed away Friday morning November 25, 2005 at Morris Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 05, 1914 in Independence, Iowa, Juanita was a daughter of the late Laben and Blanche (Fritscher) Thomas. She was raised and educated in Minnesota and later graduated from Saint Joseph College of Nursing. Juanita worked as a registered nurse for 40 years, and was employed by St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. She was a member of the VFW Post 367 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her friend and companion Edwin Arthur of Coal City, one daughter Donita (Norm, Sr.) Lardi of South Wilmington and one son John (Anita) Arthur of Milton, Florida. Seven grandchildren: Norm, Jr. (Donna) Lardi of South Wilmington, Patricia (Jeff) Hines of Gardner, Ron Lardi of Dwight, Kristi Arthur of Bloomington, Kerri (Brandon) Meredith of Reddick, Ricky Oster of Coal City and David Oster of Morton, IL. (12) Great Grandchildren and one sister Arneita Heeler of New Hope, Minnesota, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband John "Bunny" Arthur in 1959 and two brothers: Don Thomas and Laben Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 27, 2005 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow on Monday November 28, 2005 at 1:00PM in the funeral home with Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ricky Oster, David Oster, Jared Arthur, Norm Lardi, Jr. and Ron Lardi.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Juanita's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd., Coal City.
