Kari Cardone

Age 64 of Mazon, Illinois, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Morris Hospital.

Born May 27, 1959 in San Diego, California, Karalyn Dawn is a daughter of Patricia Stalowy of Morris and the late Edward Stalowy. She was raised in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Central High School with the Class of 1977. On November 7, 1977 Kari married Barry Cardone in Joliet and together they made a home and raised a family.

Kari’s employment entailed waitressing for Bob Evans in Joliet; working for Channahon Township, and most recently assisting as an X-Ray Tech at Morris Hospital. She was just a wonderful person, who enjoyed Chicago Sports, but will most be remembered as an exceptional, wife, mom and grandma.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia; husband Barry; two children: Dana (Corey) Bass of Mazon and Nicholas (Melissa) Cardone of Coal City; three grandchildren: Kadin (Paige), Jayden (Jake), and Keira (Ethan); her mother-in-law, Doris Cardone; brothers and sisters: Laura (Mark) Watters, Edward Stalowy, Donna (Tom) Workman, Rebeckah (Tim) Edwards, and Larry (Jeannie) Stalowy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kari was preceded in death by her father, Edward; father-in-law, George Cardone; and sister-in-law: Julie Cardone.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and there will be no services at this time.
