Karla Jean Greenwood

Age 63 of Morris passed away Friday August 3, 2018 at Aperion Care in Wilmington.

Born May 31, 1955 in Morris, Karla was a daughter of Glenn Allen and Barbara Jean (nee Peterson) Kociss. She was raised and educated in Morris, attended Morris schools, and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Morris. Karla loved children and enjoyed babysitting for family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of flowers.

Survivors include her three children: Joseph and Jason Greenwood, both of Manhattan, and Jessica (Richard) Shubbe of Manteno; three grandchildren: Kloey, Zack and Allie; two sisters: Karen Lehnert of Manhattan and Kolleen Kociss of Angleton, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Karla was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Joseph Henry Greenwood on February 9, 2013; a son Christopher in infancy, and her brother-in-law: Larry Lehnert.

Per Karla’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a private memorial service will be held.
