KATHLEEN A. PETERS

Age 47 of Coal City and formerly Wilmington, passed away Monday evening February 27, 2006 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 16, 1958 in Joliet, Kathy is a daughter of Mary (nee McGowan) and the late Raymond Keigher. She was a graduate of St. Francis Academy and an employee of Personal Products for 23 years. Kathy graduated from Joliet Junior College nursing program in 2004. Kathy greatly loved her family, nature walks and her dogs Scruffie and Buddy.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years Michael; two sons: Jason and David and one daughter Kelly, all of Coal City. Her mother Mary Keigher of Elwood, two brothers: Michael (Debra) Keigher of Manhattan and Kevin (Julie) Keigher of Coal City. Three sisters: Jane (Edward) O'Connor and Carol (Christopher) Mackey, both of Elwood and Suzanne (Dave) Mantia of Dwight. Four brothers-in-law: Jack (Charlotte) Peters of Iowa, Bruce (the late Diana) Peters of California, Tom (Barb) Peters of Crescent City, Illinois and Loren (Peggy) Peters of Normal, Illinois. Five Sisters-in-law: Roseanne (Ronald) Seibel of Maryland, Marjorie (Jack) Biemiller of New York, Susan (Dennis) Sweeney of Rockford, Pat (Dan) Duax of Clifton, Illinois, Lori (Gerry) Walter of Arizona and Gladys (the late Harold) of Clifton, Illinois, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, infant son Jacob, grandparents and mother-in-law and father-in-law: Bernard and Marjorie Peters.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Friday March 03, 2006 between the hours of 3:00PM and 8:00PM and Saturday March 4th from 9AM until 9:30AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (2 Blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow at 10:00AM at St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Manhattan.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Kathy's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington.
