Keith Edward Loher

Age 44, of Dwight, Illinois, passed away on April 12, 2025.

Born on August 23, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois, Keith was the firstborn of Linda Yott and Robert Blaylock's two children. From the time he was four years old, Keith and his sister Heather were raised by his mother and their adoptive father, Bernard Loher.

When he was 10, Keith and his family left the Chicago area and moved to Coal City, Illinois, for a quieter life. He graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School, class of 1999.

For much of his life, Keith worked for cleaning services and on loading crews at a few warehouses in the area, including at the Fisher Auto Parts Warehouse located in Braceville. Keith spent part of his early adult life at his family home in Coal City. Later, in pursuit of a work opportunity, he moved to a small apartment in Dwight, where he spent the rest of his life.

In his free time, Keith enjoyed a quiet night in with his family. He liked to play video games on his PlayStation. He was also the world’s biggest Star Wars fan. Keith often kept to himself, but if you knew him well, you knew: those he cared about, he cared about deeply. He always made it a point to protect those he loved however he could.

He is survived by his father, Bernard Loher of Old Town, Florida, his sister Heather (Richard) Harwood of Smithville, Missouri, two nephews: John Wills of Decatur, Illinois, and Joey Harwood, and two nieces: Lillie Harwood of Newyago, Michigan and Nicki Harwood.

Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Linda.

There will be no funeral or memorial service. At the request of his family, those who have fond memories or stories of Keith are invited to share them on his personal Facebook page.
