Age 64 of Wilmington, passed away Thursday evening, May 2, 2019 at Silver Cross Medical Center in New Lenox, Illinois.

Born October 8, 1954 in Prescott, Arkansas, Kenneth was a son of Ralph and Joanne (Adams) Taylor. He was raised in Arkansas and educated in Joliet before settling with his family in Wilmington, where he graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1972. Following graduation, Kenneth honorably served in the United States Army. On December 23, 1982, Kenneth married Rosemary Horn in Joliet, and together they made their home and raised their family in Wilmington.  Kenneth retired from Loders Croklaan after 35 years of service.

In his free time Kenneth enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was content with hanging out in the garage, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Rose; two daughters: Krista (Rich) Barton and Karey Taylor, both of Wilmington; three grandchildren: Gavin Correll and Adalyn and Brock Barton, and one brother, Wayne (Becky) Taylor of Kentucky.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, with full military honors on Wednesday morning, May 8, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery by 9:15 a.m.

A 12:00 noon memorial luncheon will be shared at The Rustic in Wilmington following the cemetery services.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Kenneth’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
