Laura Jean Ortwerth

Laura Jean Ortwerth, 72, of Minooka, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at home.
Born December 28, 1951 in Morris, she was the daughter of Natheal and Lois (Hauge) Severson. She graduated from Minooka High School with the class of 1969. She married Clayton E. Costello Sr. in the eyes of God on February 29, 2020 and they lived all of their married life in Minooka. She was employed at Ace Hardware in Minooka for seven years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clayton of Minooka; her children, Melinda Ortwerth of Pekin and Kevin (Cait) Ortwerth of Mt. Prospect; one granddaughter, Angelina Bean; one brother, Larry Severson of Minooka; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
She was a member of Lisbon Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Laura a huge fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox and enjoyed spending time with her cats.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris with services to follow with Pastor Larry Jacobsgaard officiating.
