LaVerne A. Breen

Age 78 of Wilmington passed away Thursday August 13, 2015 at his home.

Born December 16, 1936, LaVerne was a son of the late Henry and Dorothy Ungard-Breen.  On December 31, 1966, he married Judith Hall in Joliet. LaVerne was a Heat Treat Operator with Catepillar until retiring in 1993. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and traveling.

Survivors include his wife: Judy Breen of Wilmington; two children: Walter (Karen) Breen of Bristol, Tennessee and Tina (Kevin) Lenzen of Wilmington; two step-children: Kevin Terpstra of Peru, Illinois and Vickie (John) Grover of Virginia; eight grandchildren: Michael Breen, John Logan Breen, Robert Shram, James Breen, Jennifer Lenzen, Tiffany Donnelly, Sean McMillan and Tina Hollis; one great granddaughter: Lilly Donnelly, and numerous nieces and nephews.

LaVerne was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Timothy Breen; and two siblings: Ronald Breen and Elaine Hendel.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
