Linda Lee Pierce
Age 74 of Carbon Hill, Illinois, died Monday, November 24, 2025 at her home.
Born April 7, 1951 in Decatur, Indiana, Linda was a daughter of Marvin and Margaret Maye (Weaver) Stetler. She was raised in Pleasant Mills, Indiana and graduated from Adams Central High School with the Class of 1969. On October 7, 1972, Linda married David Michael Pierce in Pleasant Mills, and together they would eventually make their home in Carbon Hill.
Linda achieved her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, and had a long, dedicated career as a registered nurse. For the past 25 years, she served with Lightways Hospice in Joliet, Illinois, caring for countless people in need. In her free time, Linda enjoyed getting away for girls trips and solving jigsaw puzzles. She was a lover of all things Elvis and the dynasty era Chicago Bulls, especially Scottie Pippen. Above all else, Linda was happiest when she was with her family. Being with her husband, daughter, and grandkids was always her priority, never missing any of her grankids' events. Linda also had a great love for animals, particularly her pets whom she spoiled. Her passion for service, dedicated care and compassion, and love of family will be a lasting legacy for those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, David Pierce of Carbon Hill, and her daughter, Kelly (Pete) McConnell of Diamond, IL; two grandchildren: Avery and Declan; one sister, Diana (Norman) Chamberlain of Decatur, IN; and her nieces and nephew: Lonnie, Angie, Stephanie, and Travis.
