Margaret L. McInerney

Age 79 of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday June 27, 2018 at her home.

Born October 25, 1938 in Chicago, Margaret Louise was a daughter of Edwin Isadore and Margaret (Estes) Lundquist. She was raised in Chicago and on July 25, 1969, married Elmer Allen McInerney. Together Margaret and Elmer moved to Wilmington where they made their home and she worked as a caregiver for many years.

Survivors include her husband Elmer; children: Jimmy Mann of Pontiac, Margaret Arevalo of Braidwood, William McInerney of Wilmington, Robin (Rich) Swanson of Braidwood, Patrick (Denise) McInerney of Crete, and Sharon (Rich) Korona and Dorine Cardoza, both of Wilmington, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service 3:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and a  private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Margaret’s memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
