Marilyn Bueschel

Age 89 of Coal City, Illinois, passed away Thursday morning, December 16, 2021 at her home.

Born August 7, 1932 in Braidwood, Illinois, Marilyn was a daughter of Joseph and Anna (Voboril) Kaiser. She was raised in Braidwood and graduated from Reed Custer High School. On June 22, 1957, Marilyn married Jack Bueschel in the United Methodist Church in Coal City. She worked at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant until becoming a mother, in which she completely devoted herself to for the remainder of her life. It could be said that Marilyn was not only the World’s Greatest Mother, but could hold the same title as an aunt.

Throughout the years, Marilyn loved her time spent in the yard and gardening. She enjoyed “dangling” in the pool and spending Sunday evenings dancing at the Croatian Club in Joliet. One who could almost always be found up late into the evening, she was sure to never miss a Blackhawks game and recently found herself caught up into the Hallmark Channel. Marilyn was a huge fan of Elvis, but it was only second to that of her son, whom was equally devoted to her. Deeply loved, she will be forever missed.

Survivors include her son Brad Bueschel of Diamond; nephews and nieces: Joseph (Deb) Veronda, Jeff (Elizabeth) Veronda, Ed Koca, Nancy (Dave) Lorenc, Dennis (Susan) Koca, Debbie (Len) Mahler, Diane (Clint) Mellen, Jean Slater, Gail (Danny) Anderson, Nori (Barry) Butterfield, Bev Koca, Dawn (Marty) Typer, Colette (Pete) McConoughey, Drew Bueschel and Jim (Jen) Mueller, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack on September 30, 1988; three brothers: Ed (Rosella) Koca, George (Lenore) Koca and Frank (Adeline) Koca; her sister, Helen (Anton) Veronda and one nephew, George Koca.
