Age 88 of Morris, passed away Sunday August 6, 2006 at her home.

Born September 12, 1917 in Chicago, Marion was a daughter of the late Jacob and Elsie (Embs) Litscher. She was raised and educated in Chicago and was a graduate of Bowen High School with the Class of 1935. On February 14, 1949, Marion married Edwin T. Joyce in Chicago. Together they lived most of their married life in Chicago until moving to Palos Hills in 1992. Edwin preceded Marion in death in 1997 and she then moved to Morris. For over 35 years Marion enjoyed being a waitress in many different restaurants.

Survivors include her daughter Jacquelyn (Dan) Lawson of Goose Lake and one grandson Michael Demetrakis of Morris. One sister-in-law Mary Lou Litscher of Morris and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her special friend Billie Jo Stewart of Morris.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin, one sister Margaret Keefe and three brothers: Jack Litscher, Jim Litscher and Russell Litscher.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 09, 2006 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Graveside services and burial will then follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois with Rev. Joseph Seitz officiating.
