Age 65 of Coal City, passed away Monday September 26, 2005 at her home.

Born August 07, 1940 in Coal City, Marlene was a daughter of the late Louis and Emma (Manietta) Pierard. She was raised and educated in Coal City, graduating from Coal City High School with the Class of 1958. On June 11, 1966 Marlene married Dan Greggain in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City and together they lived their entire married life in Coal City. For 18 years, Marlene was employed by the Secretary of State at the Driver's License Facility in Morris, retiring in 2002. Marlene enjoyed spending time with her family and pets, shopping and homemaking.

Survivors include her husband Dan, three sons: Daniel J. Greggain and David A. Greggain, both of Coal City and Dean L. (Karrie) Greggain of Chandler, Arizona and one grandson Nolan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Louis and Wayne Pierard and one sister Faye Campbell.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2005 between the hours of 3:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City. Funeral services will follow on Thursday September 29th at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Rev. Mike Pennock from Assumption Catholic Church officiating.

Burial will be in Braceville Gardner Cemetery and pallbearers will be: Dan Campbell, Mike Campbell, Mark Campbell, Joe Pierard, Jerry Pierard and Wayne Dale Pierard.

Preferred memorials as gifts in Marlene's memory may be extended to Grundy Community Hospice, 1802 Division Street, Suite 307, Morris, Illinois 60450.
