MARTHA M. SUTHERLAND (nee Viol)

Age 95 and a former resident of Joliet, passed away April 27, 2006 at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.

Born November 26, 1910 in Chicago, IL.

Survived by her daughters: Diane (Henry) Bale and Sue (Charles) Jeffries, III of Wilmington, IL. Five grandchildren: Andrew Bale, Elizabeth (Dr. Andrew) Roechner, Jr., Jennifer (Dustin) Wells, Charles (Tracey) Jeffries, IV and Ryan (Jennifer) Jeffries. (6) Great Grandchildren: Sinclair and Isabella Roechner, Tyler and Caroline Wells, Jessica Jeffries and Halie Jeffries.

Preceded in death by her husband: Andrew M. Sutherland; a daughter Jeannette M. Sutherland; her parents Dietrich and Anna Viol; brothers: Max, Harry and Edward and sisters: Helen M. Smith, Evelyn J. Reeves, Minnie and Irma Viol.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a private interment will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Martha's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington.
