Nicholas Cary

Age 29 of Elwood, Illinois and formerly of Montgomery, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 25, 2022 at his home.

 

Born April 30, 1992 in Hinsdale, Illinois, Nicholas James is a son of Harold "Hal" and the late Susan (née Bryar) Cary. He was raised in Downers Grove and Montgomery, and graduated from Oswego East High School. Nick worked for Clearwater Paper in Elwood as a machine operator. He was a man of faith who wore his positive outlook toward life on his sleeve, and tried to be the best person and father he could be.

 

Survivors include his father, Hal Cary of Lake Wales, Florida; his daughter Natalie Cary-Lucchetti of Wilmington, and three siblings: Kristopher and Katie Jares, and Sarah Baker.

 

Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Cary, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

Cremation rites are being accorded, and private memorial services will be held.

 

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Nick's memory to: Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, Illinois 60481.
