Patricia Ann Conley

Age 68 of Gardner, died Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Burbank Rehabilitation Center in Burbank, Illinois.

Born May 26, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Patricia was the daughter of Albert and Marie (Berggoetz) Meneely. She graduated from Indian River High School in Chesapeake, Virginia with the Class of 1972, and on May 19, 1973 she married Bernard John Conley at Saint Pius Catholic Church near the Little Creek Virginia Naval Base. Patricia and family relocated to Illinois where she would complete an Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Joliet Junior College.

She was an active woman in her communities, serving as a teacher's aid at the local schools and also volunteered her time at the Coal City Elementary School Library. Patricia was a member of the Church of Hope in Gardner, Illinois and served an as both a Cubs Scouts and Girl Scouts Leader. She also held employment with the Morris Herald and with the Walmart in Joliet. In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed crafting and playing computer games. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were precious to her.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Bernard Conley of Gardner, Illinois; four children: Karen (Brian) Hand of Morris, Illinois, Sherri Conley of Chicago, Illinois, Matthew Conley of Mazon, Illinois, and Kimberly Conley of Diamond, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren: Brittany, Stephanie, Taylor, Abby, and Samantha Hand, Tamera and Tyler Morris, Lauren and Trevor Moore, John, Aaron, Kelly, and Michael Lawson, Skylar Conley, and Ryan Lodrigue; five great granchildren: Camilla, Sincere, A'Zaria, Luke, and Riley; nieces and nephews: Dorothy Meneely, and William, Thomas, James, and Kenneth Conley; and dear friends: Gail Hicks, Cathy and Gordon Miline, and Betty Gifford.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Christina Lawson in 2011; one brother, David (Dixie) Conley, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Marvin and Marie Conley; and her brother-in-law, William Conley.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway Street, in Coal City, Illinois on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Jan Chandler officiating.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service, and Patricia will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
