Patricia Ann Feazel

Age 80 of Coal City, Illinois, formerly of Wilmington, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 21, 2026 at her residence.

Born May 12, 1946 in Aurora, Illinois, Patricia was a daughter of John and Ella (Jacobs) McKanna. She was raised in Plattville, Illinois, and settled in Wilmington where she raised her family. Patricia worked as a Wilmington Police Dispatch Operator for several years and later transitioned to caregiving through her work at Trinity Services in Wilmington.

Patricia loved being a part of Wilmington and took an active role in the community. She was a member of the Women of the Moose with the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 241, the Wilmington Junior Women's Club, and was a part of the original Catfish Days committee. Patricia was also very present in her children's lives, participating as a Room Mother for the Wilmington Parent Teacher's Organization and as a Den Mother for Cubs Scouts and Brownie Scout Leader.

She was fascinated by genealogy and understanding her family history and had a soft spot for all animals, particularly dog rescues. But being with family was what made Patricia happiest. She loved raising her children and was so proud of all of her grandchildren. Patricia's loving heart, generous spirit, and passion for volunteerism made a lasting impact on so many people throughout her life, and her legacy will continue to inspire many for years to come.

Survivors include her children: William (Lori) Castello of Gardner, IL, Joseph (Dawn Galloway) Castello of Coal City, IL, Gina (William) Baxter of Braidwood, IL, and Bobby (Lacy Buchanan) Feazel of Wilmington, IL; six grandchildren: Ellana Jo Cossett, Ethan Baxter, Hunter Baxter, Aliyah Baxter, Traci Gill, Amanda Hays, Taryn, Nuri, and Cam; one sister, Mary Graham of Pittsburg, PA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and her many dear friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Virginia Eissler and Violet Welch; two brothers: Robert McKanna and John McKanna; and three nephews: Patrick McKanna, Sherman Hamerla, and Mark Rupprecht.

The family will receive friends at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

The family wishes to extend their deepest thanks to all of Patricia's caregivers, especially her neighbor, David, who cared for her these past several years.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Patricia's memory to charities related to Autism or Down Syndrome Research, or any local animal shelter.
