Patricia Ann Paulsen

Age 64 of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born September 2, 1955 in Joliet, Illinois, Patricia Ann was a daughter of Berl Eugene and Angela Marie (Offerman) Williams. She moved with her family from Joliet to Wilmington in the third grade; graduated from St. Rose Parochial School and attended Wilmington High School. Patty was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and held employment with Durkee Foods for 22 years.

A selfless soul, Patty’s greatest attributes were her loving, caring and generous nature. She loved to cook good homemade meals, enjoyed the outdoors and took pleasure in bird watching. She held many fond memories from the Corner Tap, and cherished her family. Her daughters and grandson were her greatest hobby, and she was proud to have instilled her children will kindness, morals and the genuine respect for others. Life will not be the same without Patty, however those who were dear to her will hold her memories forever in their hearts.

Survivors include one daughter, Haley Paulsen (Darryl Allen) of Wilmington; one grandson, Alexander Allen; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Diane (Jay) Moreno of Peoria, Lori (Terry) Lake of Streator, Kim (Dale) Benson of Tomball, Texas and Tori (Jeff) Schaffer of Kingwood, Texas; nieces and nephews: Steve and Carrie Brownlee, Austin, Travis, Lucas and Sara Benson and Aiden and Samuel Schaffer; two great nephews, Leo Reed and Theo Brownlee, and two uncles: Gary Williams of DuQuoin and Wayne (Janet) Williams of Alton, as well as the father of her daughters, Bradley Paulsen.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Sharon, and her daughter Emily Ann Paulsen.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Patty’s Life will be scheduled for a later date. She will be inurned in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wilmington, where she will be laid to rest with her parents.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Patty’s memory to her family for their distribution.
