Patricia (Keck) Thompson

Age 53 of Braidwood, Illinois and formerly of Elwood, Illinois and Ft. Ord, California, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois following a brief battle with COVID.

Born August 20, 1968 on Fort Ord, Marina, California, Patricia Lynn is a daughter of James “Jim” and Linda (nee Dover) Keck of Braidwood, Illinois. She was raised and educated in Elwood and attended Joliet Central High School. She was most recently employed with Dunn Deals in Kankakee. Trish was a member of the South Wilmington Sportsman Club; was an avid reader and took pleasure in Pokémon Go! She was a proud grandmother, and truly adored her grandchildren.

Survivors include her parents; husband, Ronald Thompson; three children: James (Amanda) Thompson of Gardner, Illinois, Nicole Thompson of South Bend, Indiana and Stephanie Thompson of Braidwood; step children: Jamie (Amanda) Thompson of Galveston, Texas, and Angelica (Corey) Brown and Alyssa (Conrad) Thomas, both of Grant, Alabama; (8) grandchildren: Hunter Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Katie Selvage, Kyla Thomas, Jonah Thomas, Dakota Thompson, Noah Thompson and Josiah Thompson; two nephews: Kyle Keck and Kolton Keck and numerous cousins, as well as her best friend, Michelle Rowland.

Trish was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Keck.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service, 6:00 p.m. Pastor Greg Linkous from Abundant Life Fellowship Church will officiate.

Those wishing to participate in the services virtually are welcome to join the live-stream on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. A link for the event will be available on Trish's memorial page.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Trish’s memory to her family for their distribution.
