PHILIP BENEDICT LUSSON, Sr.

Age 58 of Wilmington, passed away suddenly Wednesday December 28, 2005 in Lake Okeechobee, FL while enjoying a fishing trip with his son Philip, Jr.

Born September 08, 1947 in Blue Island, Philip is a son of the late Thomas and Marie (Menzler) Lusson. Philip owned and operated K.C.L. Construction in Wilmington and he greatly enjoyed car shows, trap shooting, camping and fishing trips with his children. Philip also was interested in vintage cars, boating, country music and horses. He was very mild mannered and took great pride in his work and things pertaining to nature.

Survivors include his four loving children: Kelly, Joelle, and Philip, Jr., all of Wilmington and Erica (Brad) Hamilton of Texas. His friend and former wife Candy (Mark) Shell of Wilmington. Two brothers: Greg (Rita) and Tom (Terri) Lusson; four sisters: Beverly (John) Pence, Jennifer (Bruce) Ristich, Diane (Bob) Spenner and Colette (Jack) Moore and two brothers-in-law: Rick Kirsten and Bob Sanaghan, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Scott and two sisters: Gayle Kirsten and Joann Sanaghan.

Visitation will be held Wednesday January 04, 2006 from 4-7PM and Thursday January 5th from 9-9:40AM at Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow at 10AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer officiating. A private family interment will follow per the request of Philip's children.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be extended to Philip's Children's education fund c/o Standard Bank of Wilmington.
