Rachel Lara Carnaghi

Age 31 of Channahon, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at AMITA Saint Joseph Medical Centery in Joliet.

Born October 23, 1990 in Naperville, Rachel is a daughter of Sheri (nee Koenig) and the late Daniel Carnaghi. She lived in Channahon, achieved her high school diploma through the REACH program at Minooka High School, and attended the Illinois Valley Industries Day Program for many years. Rachel loved playing games like UNO, Yahtzee, and Bingo, and especially enjoyed swimming. She also looked forward to attending her special needs Vacation Bible School in Channahon every summer.

Survivors include her mother, Sheri Carnaghi of Channahon, aunts and uncles: Donna and Andy Castle, Jim and Fran Carnaghi, and Robert Koenig; and numerous cousins.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Carnaghi, and her grandparents: Raymond and Sarah Carnaghi and Robert and Sharon Koenig.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and Rachel will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet with her father.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rachel’s memory may be made to the family for their distribution.
