RALPH R. RUSH, SR.

Age 78 of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday February 1, 2006 at Silver Cross Medical Center in Joliet.

Born October 08, 1927 in Tremont, IL, Ralph was a son of the late Raymond and Merle (Slack) Rush. Ralph was a veteran of the US Army and was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Joliet, where he retired as a Supervisor after 49 years of service. Ralph enjoyed lapidary arts, fishing, camping and was a lifetime member of Lake Will Recreation Club.

Survivors include his loving wife Florence (Gunther); three sons: Dennis (Mary) Rush and Jay (Eve) Rush, both of Wilmington and Robert (Carol) Rush of Indiana. One daughter-in-law Joan Rush of Tennessee; (11) Grandchildren; (7) Great Grandchildren and one brother Roy (Jacqueline) Rush of Mesa, AZ, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, one son Roger and one daughter Terrie Lynn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 04, 2006 from 11:00AM until time of Funeral Service 1:00PM at Island City Baptist Church, 120 Vine Street in Wilmington. Rev. Ron Taylor will officiate and a luncheon will follow the services in the Church. Interment with full military honors will follow on Monday February 6th at 10:00AM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Ralph's memory to Island City Baptist Church, 120 Vine Street, Wilmington, IL 60481.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington.
