RAYMOND "RIC" CARLSON

Age 54 of New Lenox, passed away Thursday June 23, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loving family - after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Chicago January 6, 1951, Ric is a son of George and Peg (Hughes) Carlson. He taught at Summit Hill District #161 in Frankfort, IL for over 31 years in the Physical Education Department of Jr. High and Hilda Walker Middle School. Ric was a wrestling referee for over 20 years in the IHSA and Illinois Kids Federal State Wrestling. He was a member of New Life Church in New Lenox and was a terrific Coach, Friend, Mentor, Teacher and Hero.

Survivors include his wife Therese "Tracey" (Moore-Brodinski), whom he married on May 26, 1996 and remained "His Angel" and "Best Friend". Five sons: Ryan Carlson of Savannah, GA, Matthew Carlson of Sacramento, CA, Benjamin Carlson of Homewood-Flossmoor and Bobby and Danny Brodinski of New Lenox. His parents, one brother Billy Rule; Mother-in-law Joan Moore and wonderful brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

The family will receive Friends on Monday June 27, 2005 from 1-9PM and Tuesday June 28th from 9-10AM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort. Funeral services will follow at New Life Church in New Lenox at 11AM. Pastor Jul Medenblik will be officiating and burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in New Lenox.

Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Ric's name to the Carlson Family Fund, c/o Standard Bank and Trust Co., 456 N. Nelson Road, New Lenox, IL.
