RITA M. ENDRST

Age 83 of Coal City, passed away Monday evening June 06, 2005 at Embassy Care Nursing Center in Wilmington.

Born June 02, 1922 in Coal City, Rita was a daughter of the late John and Laura (Marketti) Girot. She was raised and educated in Coal City, having graduated with the Coal City High School Class of 1040. On April 27, 1946 Rita married John Endrst in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, and together they lived in Coal City their entire married life. Rita worked for Hyman Tailoring and Toni Garments prior to engaging in employment with DeMert and Dougherty in Coal City, where she worked until her retirement. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, The Martha's and the Junior League. Rita enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her three daughters: Janet (David) Powell, Pinky (John) Olson-Kloski and Linda (Pete) Odo, all of Coal City. (13) Grandchildren: David, Kenny, Melinda, John, Laura, Michelle, Marc, John, Alex, Kim, Tami, Shari and Gina and (7) Great Grandchildren: Koltin, Dakota, Carson, Rita, Peter, Charles and Gwendolyn.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband John and one son-in-law Butch Olson.

Visitation for Rita will be held on Wednesday June 08, 2005 from 5:00 until 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City. Funeral services will follow on Thursday June 09, 2005 at 10:00AM in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated with Rev. Mike Pennock and Rev. Mr. Jack Schimandle officiating. Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: David Powell, Kenny Powell, John Powell, Marc Olson and Pete Maland.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rita's name to The American Cancer Society.
