Age 99 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Sunday March 30, 2008 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born September 20, 1908 in Rockville Township, Symerton, Illinois, Rita was a daughter of the late Peter and Pearl Lukoskie-Rink. She and her husband William were engaged in farming their entire life. Rita was a longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and could always be found helping out spiritually, financially or by providing her delicious foods for any occasion. She greatly loved her home and her family.

Survivors include her loving daughter Marie E. Johnson and grandson Rick Johnson, both of Wilmington; three sisters-in-law: Gladys of Nevada, Laurie of Coal City and Muriel of Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, husband William (1981), grandson Rob; son-in-law Robert Johnson and eight brothers and sisters: Marie Kelleher, Josephine Grinchuck, Dorothy Snyder, Al Rink, Martin Rink, Raymond Frank and Matthew Rink.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2008 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7::00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow on Thursday April 3rd at 10:00AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Steve Bondi and Deacon Donald Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rita's memory to St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington or Kuzma Care Cottage.
