Obituary

Age 92 of New Lenox, Illinois, formerly of Wilmington, Illinois, died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at his home in New Lenox.

Born October 11, 1933 in Joliet, Illinois, Roger Donald was a son of Roger, Sr. and Mildred (Mangine) Cirrencione. He was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School with the Class of 1951. Roger continued on to serve in the United States Navy, and on November 16, 1956 he married Enola Josephine Puhl in Lockport, Illinois.

He was a Teamster with Local Union 179 for many years, taking part in the construction of the Braidwood Nuclear Power Generation Station, and continued to work there for some time. Roger was also a member of the U.S. Harness Association, training and boarding horses on his farm in rural Wilmington. He loved being outside on his property or going for walks. Roger was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed sitting down for a good crossword puzzle. He and his wife loved spending time in Florida where he could enjoy the warm weather and avoid the snow. Roger was a kind man who always had a catch phrase ready for any occasion, and will be remembered as the best husband, dad, and grandpa anyone could ask for.
