Age 69 of Ottawa, Illinois and formerly of Morris, Illinois, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Born February 4, 1952, in Morris, Illinois, Ruth Ann was the daughter of Dean and Grace Burnes (nee Johnson). Ruth worked for Doc’s Pharmacy in Wilmington for 6 years, and eventually went on to gain her Pharmacy Technician licensure.

Ruth was a devoted mother and grandmother. She took pride in caring for her family and her close friends. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed reading and mastering the art of crossword puzzles. She was a devoted Christian and attended The First Christian Church in Wilmington.

Survivors include her two children: Heather (Brian) Borre and Sean (Carrie) Mance; grandchildren: Daniel Starr, Dominick Starr, Gianna Mance, Samantha Starr, Jackson Starr, Mia Mance, and Olivia Borre; three brothers;  four sisters; three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Mance; step-mother, LaVerne Burnes, and two sisters.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block east of Illinois Route 47) in Morris, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and  7:00 p.m.

Preferred memorials may be made donations in Ruth's memory to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.
