Sharon K. McNamara

Age 59 of Joliet, passed away Sunday October 8, 2006 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Survivors include her father Harold Lyons of Tyler, TX, one daughter Colleen (Rick) Guinto of Joliet and four grandchildren: Andrew, Bradley, Danielle and Nathan, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Florence (Minnick) Lyons in 1978 and son Sean McNamara in 2003.

Born May 2, 1947 in Joliet, Sharon is a daughter of Harold Lyons and the late Florence "Flo" (Minnick) Lyons. She was raised and educated in Plainfield and graduated from Plainfield High School with the Class of 1965. Sharon was employed by Empress Casino from 1993 to 2005.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 11, 2006 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Road (near Midland Avenue) in Joliet. Funeral services will follow on Thursday October 12th at 10:00AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Sharon's memory to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
