Sheri Carnaghi

Age 58 of Channahon, died Sunday February 5, 2023 at Morris Hospital.

Born February 26, 1964 in Joliet, Sheri was the daughter of Robert and Sharon (Duchance) Koenig. She was raised and educated in Plainfield and graduated from Plainfield High School. Sheri married Daniel Carnaghi at the Cathedral of Saint Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet, and together they would live and make their home in Channahon. She devoted her life to her family and being the very best mother and caregiver to her daughter, Rachel. Sheri did work several jobs over the years, but attending to all of Rachel's needs were her number one priority.

She was a gifted artist and doll maker, making hundreds of beautiful dolls for the Reborn Doll Shop as well as selling them independently. Sheri was an avid Chicago Bears fan and loved all animals, especially horses and her feline companions, Elvis and Priscilla. She had a sweet disposition and her quick, witty sense of humor never missed a beat. Sheri was loyal to her family and friends, never having a mean word to say about anyone, and dearly loved all who had the pleasure to know her.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Koenig of Hayward, Wisconsin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim (Fran) Carnaghi of Channahon and Donna (Andy) Castle of Joliet; three aunts: Bonnie McElroy of Channahon, Mary Jo (Doug) Watkins of Greenville, South Carolina, and Carol (Bob) Bauer of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous cousins.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sharon; her husband, Daniel Carnaghi, and her daughter, Rachel Carnaghi; and several aunts and uncles.

Per her wishes, cremation rites are being accorded, and committal services will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel in Joliet at 10:00 a.m.
