Tammy Cardwell

Age 62 of Gardner passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born April 3, 1958 in Assumption, Illinois, Tammy Ellen was a daughter of Kermit and Gertrude (nee Walker) Stokes. She was raised and educated in Assumption, and graduated from Assumption High School with the Class of 1976. She had a quick-witted sense of humor that was instantly recognizable to anyone she met, and enjoyed playing pool and singing karaoke. Tammy loved spending time outside tending to her flower garden and relaxing in her pool. She had a sizeable collection of angels, and took great pleasure in reading a good book.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Alex Cardwell, and five brothers: Kermit, Greg, John, Robert, and Roger Stokes.
