Teresa K. Boward

Age 64 of Saunemin died Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by family.

Born July 29, 1957 in Portsmouth, Ohio, Teresa Kay is a daughter of Frederick and Mabel (nee Elkins) Dickison. She attended Joliet Junior College and completed her Associates Degree in Horticulture. Teresa was a past member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and currently attended the Pontiac Church of Christ. She was employed by Trinity Services in Wilmington, and also enjoyed making wedding cakes and floral designs for many weddings. Being outdoors is where Teresa was at peace, and she took great pleasure in traveling to the mountains and taking in all of the natural beauty of God’s creation. Family was her number one priority, always looking forward to holiday parties, and having fun with her friends and family.

Survivors include her parents, Frederick and Mabel Dickison of Wilmington; four children: Glen (Laura) Hiller of Huntsville, Alabama, Star (Shawn) Grieff of Saunemin, Cole (Nicole) Hiller of Morris, and Lacinda Boward (fiancé Michael) of Pawling, New York; 19 grandchildren: Alice and Isobel Hiller, Eric Hiller, Mason and Trenton Rork, Jakob, Justin, Sam, and Emma Grieff, Kylyn Johnson, Braycin, Barrett, Bryer, and Kolby Hiller, Destiny Boward, Skyler, Easton, and Kayden White, and Owen Boward; one great grandson, Tatum Gromm, two sisters and one brother: Tonya (Jodi) Johnson, Terenia (Jim) Foster, and John (Roxanne) Dickison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Teresa was preceded in death by two children: Bruce Boward, Jr. and Angel Boward, and the father of her children Bruce Boward, Sr.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service, 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Andy Diestelkamp.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Teresa’s memory to the family for their distribution.
