Age 47, formerly of Wilmington, Illinois, and Braidwood, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Born on February 21, 1978, in Joliet, Illinois, Terrie Maria was the beloved daughter of Terri Moore and Della Gallegos. She was raised in Wilmington and later moved to Braidwood, where she graduated from Reed-Custer High School with the Class of 1996.
Terrie spent many years working at Snookers Bar, where she built lasting friendships and became well known to many. She was loyal, free-spirited, and resilient, having faced numerous challenges throughout her life, yet never losing her strength or her will to fight. She had a deep love for dancing and listening to music, which brought her joy and allowed her spirit to shine. Terrie was also a proud Joliet Junior College alumna who excelled in her courses, demonstrating a strong commitment to education that later inspired her daughter, Ashley, to pursue college as well.
Above all, Terrie’s greatest pride and joy was her daughter, Ashley, whom she loved beyond measure. Her granddaughter, Sunny, was truly the light of her life. Terrie cherished their time together, especially when they would sit and watch television, often laughing together, even if she was told that "Cocomelon" and "Baby shark" were off the table. She also shared a special, deeply loving bond with her brother, Sonny, whom she absolutely adored.
She is survived by her mother, Della; daughter, Ashley Fields (boyfriend Qwynn Morgan); special grandchild, Sunny Morgan; brother, Michael Southall; six nephews: Gage, Wesson, Chase, Mikey, David, and William Southall; aunt Geraldine Southall; cousins: Gina Taylor, Kendra Taylor, Deseree Crass, Kristie, Alicia, Destinie and Aidan Drapeau, Nickie Gallegos, Harley and Sophia Gribble, Jacob and Kashton Palmer, Favian and Jose Arriaga, Brad and Leah Littleton, and close cousin Preston Moore, along with many other friends from throughout her life.
Terrie was preceded in death by her father Terri Moore and brother Sonny Southall; cousins: Denna Gallegos, Anthony and Timothy Drapeau, and Peggy Sue Gallegos; aunts and uncle: Peggy Gallegos, Adela Geiss, and Rudy Gallegos.
Memorials may be made out to the family for their distribution.
