Timothy Dean Gill
Age 54 of Morris, Illinois, died Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Morris Hospital.
Born October 2, 1971, Timmy was a son of Barry Dean Gill, and Delores (Tvrz) and Norm Phillips. He was raised in Morris and Coal City and attended Coal City High School. Timmy worked as a chef for several years at local area restaurants, and on January 5, 2001 he married Katherine Sanders in Morris. They attended First Christian Church in Morris where together they made their home and they raised their children.
Timmy was an outgoing, positive guy who loved being with family and friends. He loved bringing people together, sharing his talents for cooking with others and gathering for pool parties. Timmy was an avid fan of rock n' roll music who enjoyed playing the guitar, singing Karaoke, and listening to Hank with his Mama. His giving nature and great sense of humor was only matched by his love of family. Timmy loved his wife and children dearly, but had a special place in his heart for his grandson, whose birthday was only one day apart from his. He will be treasured by those who knew and loved him best, grateful to be part of his life.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kathy Gill of Morris; two children, Jesse Dean Gill and Crystal Mae Gill, and one grandson, Ashton Kaine Krippel, all of Morris; one brother, Terry (Stephanie) Gill of Coal City, and one sister, Trudi Tvrz of Morris; mother-in-law, Nora Bannon of Morris, and his brother and sister-in-law: Jennifer Montgomery of Waltonville, IL and William Sanders of Morris; as well as several aunts and uncles, many cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved Timmy very much.
Timmy was preceded in death by his mother, Delores (Norm) Phillips; and all of his grandparents, including Harold Dean Gill who was deeply influential to Timmy.
Per his wishes, cremation rites are being accorded.
