Obituary

Todd Matthew Edwards

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Matthew Edwards, 49, of Dwight, Il, on July 24, 2026.

Todd was born in Oak Lawn, IL on November 8, 1976 to Timothy Edwards Sr. and Carol Edwards (Thomas).

In his youth, Todd participated in the Martial Arts, where he excelled in tournaments and earned his brown belt. He also participated in youth baseball. He is a graduate of Seneca High School and he was passionate about his role as driver at Waste Management.

As an avid lover of the outdoors, Todd loved riding his four wheeler with family and friends. When he moved to New York, Todd worked with his dad at field trials planting birds. Todd planted pheasants for four national events and local clubs.

He moved back to Illinois and treasured the visits with mom, sis, brother, daughter and grandchildren. Todd had a soft spot for his fury friend, Frosti. Family, friends, and his furry friend were his everything.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Edwards, and Father Tim Edwards Sr; daughters: Kati Edwards and Kari Weatherford (Jake); grandchildren Piper, Parker, Olivia and Ella; his brother, Tim (Greer) Edwards Jr., and sister, Melissa (Tim) Clark; his paternal grandfather, Horace (Peggy) Edwards; as well as several aunts and uncles, many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and Kati's mother and friend Angie (Clark) Lyons.

Todd is preceded in death by his fiancé Lisa Vindel Blanchette, his paternal grandmother Mary Edwards, and maternal grandparents Jean and George Thomas.
