Age 72 of Wilmington, Illinois, died Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.
Born July 10, 1950 in Kokomo, Indiana, Vivian May was a daughter of Carl and Mary (Litzts) Strebin. She was raised in Kokomo and graduated from Kokomo High School with the Class of 1968. On September 10, 1968, Vivian married Ron King in Kokomo and together they built a family.
Vivian was employed with the Law of Offices of Laird M. Ozmon, Ltd. for the past 25 years. She loved to read and sew; was an avid quilter, and enjoyed being a member of her local quilting group in Wilmington for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ron; three children: Melissa Wesson of Pittsboro, Indiana, Elizabeth Schroeder of Wilmington and Nathan King of Manteno, Illinois; four grandchildren, Courtney Wesson, Andrea Wesson, Andrew Schroeder, and Lucas Schroeder, and one sister, Carol (Randy) Wilson, as well as her best friend, Marlene Johnston, both of Kokomo.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, and her son-in-law, Mark Wesson.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Saturday, November 5, 2022 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
